Information You Enter
Search Terms
When you type a name, county, state, or other search term into a partner search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. This site does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, the information in that message is used to read and respond to it. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless a legal requirement, subpoena, court order, or similar process requires disclosure.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site may receive technical details when a browser loads a page.
- Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name, version, and settings.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages opened and approximate time spent on them.
- Referring website or search engine, when available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand site use, remember basic settings, support analytics, and help advertising services measure activity. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although some site features or partner tools may respond differently after cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- Operate the site and keep pages loading reliably.
- Send search requests to the correct partner service.
- Understand which Washington County jail, court, IDOC, BOP, ICE, and VINELink topics visitors use most.
- Detect errors, broken links, spam, abuse, and security issues.
- Display advertising that may be more relevant to visitor interests.
Outside Websites
This site links to public resources such as the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Washington County Jail, the official Zuercher in-custody portal, the Idaho Department of Correction, BOP, ICE, VINELink, and Idaho statute pages including Idaho Code § 74-102, § 74-103, and § 74-105. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy and data practices of the destination site apply.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and provide interest-based ads. That tracking is handled by those partners, not by Washington County Inmate Population.
